Holiday Shopportunity
As a mini fundraiser, we are now selling Boston’s Best coffee in small packets. The coffee comes in five flavors; pumpkin spice, 100% Colombian, decaffeinated, hazelnut crème & Jamaican Me Crazy. Each packet is $2.00 and makes 8 cups of coffee. These packets offer lots of creative ideas for the holidays; use it as part of a gift basket or with a nice coffee mug or to add a little something extra to the top of a gift. They are also easy to take on a weekend getaway. Just throw them into your luggage. See Ms. Mayo.
Book Fair – Coming To BCS
Plan to do your holiday shopping at Bowdoin Central’s November Book Fair! The fair will begin on Tuesday, November 18 and be open to shoppers through the end of conferences on Monday, November 24. Plan a stop in the library before or after your conferences to look at the new books that are on sale.
No School Announcement
This winter MSAD#75 will begin using a new telephone-based snow day alert system. On days when school will be cancelled because of the weather, you will receive a telephone call from Dr. Wilhelm, Superintendent of MSAD#75 schools, notifying you. The telephone call will occur between 5:30-6:30am and will be to the phone number you have listed as your primary number. We will continue to have school cancellations reported by radio and television stations.

Community Giving Tree – Let’s Make The Holidays Happy
The holidays are just around the corner and the Community Giving Tree project is now gearing up for our 12th year.
This annual program was created to assist families by providing gifts for children of Bowdoin for Christmas. To have your children’s names included on this year’s list or if you know of a family in need of assistance, contact Karen Mayo at 666-3375. All information submitted is strictly confidential. All names must be received by Nov. 14.
We are expecting our requests to increase this year, so we are looking for individuals, companies and organizations to help us fill these children’s wishes. If you would like to help, please contact Mayo at the number above or gift tags will be available in the office at BCS starting Monday, Nov. 24. All items will be given to children here in the town of Bowdoin. Donated items should NOT be wrapped. Donations of wrapping paper will also be gladly accepted. Items should be returned by Friday, December 12. For more information, see Ms. Mayo.
A Holiday Shopportunity
It's not too early to start thinking about your holiday gift giving needs. The Community Policing CIRCLE is once again selling Rada Cutlery items and a variety of other cooking items. This company offers a quality line of cutlery items at a reasonable price. Product brochures are available from Ms. Mayo. Orders are due by November 25 and the items will be in by the holiday season. Profits from the sale will support the DARE program.
